Identify the version
The vehicle model name alone does not establish the transmission configuration. We check vehicle details and transmission identification before selecting parts.

Chevrolet Equinox: Generations and GM 6T transmissions
We repair the listed GM 6T versions. The table covers selected US-market configurations; years indicate transmission applicability for those versions.
| Generation / body | Model years | Engine | Drivetrain | Transmission |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| II · crossover | 2010–2017 | 2.4 · petrol | front-wheel / all-wheel drive | 6T45 |
| III · crossover | 2018–2024 | 1.5 Turbo · petrol | front-wheel / all-wheel drive | 6T40 |
| III · crossover | 2018–2019 | 1.6 Turbo · diesel | front-wheel / all-wheel drive | 6T45 |
Second generation: 2.4 and 6T45
For Equinox II we cover petrol 2.4 versions with 6T45. Front-wheel and all-wheel-drive configurations require precise unit identification; the same engine size does not make transmissions interchangeable.
Third generation: engine-dependent fitment
Equinox III petrol 1.5 Turbo versions use 6T40, while the diesel 1.6 uses 6T45. Both belong to our GM 6T repair scope. At generation changes, we identify the engine and configuration by VIN.
GM 6T diagnosis and repair
We identify the transmission version, check the vehicle and inspect a removed unit when needed. Confirmed findings determine the repairs and parts agreed with you.
About GM 6T repair →What to prepare before contacting us
Send the VIN. If it is not available, tell us the model year and engine size.
Check the cause
We begin with computer diagnostics and the necessary in-car checks. Where needed, we inspect the removed unit. A fault code is not a ready-made replacement parts list.
Agree on repairs
We discuss confirmed findings, work and parts after the checks. Removal, installation and handover of a removed unit are agreed in advance.
Your vehicle or a removed transmission
In Batumi, we perform in-car diagnostics and road tests. We accept removed units from other cities in Georgia. Included components, packaging and handover are agreed before dispatch.

Before you get in touch
Can I arrange Chevrolet Equinox transmission repair from another city?+
Yes. We accept removed units from cities across Georgia and can arrange removal through partner workshops. Handover is agreed in advance.
Do I need to know the transmission designation?+
The VIN is enough. If it is unavailable, tell us the model year and engine size so we can help identify the version.
Can a fault code determine the repair?+
A code helps select checks. Diagnostics and, where needed, unit inspection determine the cause and scope of repair.
