Identify the version
The vehicle model name alone does not establish the transmission configuration. We check vehicle details and transmission identification before selecting parts.

Buick Envision: Generations and transmission applications
The table lists selected versions with transmissions we repair. Configurations depend on the market, engine and drivetrain. The years shown do not apply to every vehicle sharing this model name.
| Generation / body | Model years | Engine | Drivetrain | Transmission |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| I · crossover | 2016–2018 | 2.0 Turbo · petrol | all-wheel drive | 6T50 |
| I · crossover | 2017–2020 | 2.5 · petrol | front-wheel / all-wheel drive | 6T45 |
Buick Envision: I body series
For Buick Envision, the table covers I versions with 2.0 Turbo; 2.5 engines. We repair the listed transmissions: 6T50, 6T45. Years apply to the specific engine/transmission combinations; a single year is a confirmed configuration example, not its entire production period.
Identifying the version before repair
Transmission configurations can change with a new generation or model update. Even units sharing a transmission name can require different electronic components and parts. For your initial enquiry, send the VIN, or the model year and engine size if the VIN is unavailable.

Send the VIN. If it is not available, tell us the model year and engine size.
Check the cause
We begin with computer diagnostics and the necessary in-car checks. Where needed, we inspect the removed unit. A fault code is not a ready-made replacement parts list.
Agree on repairs
We discuss confirmed findings, work and parts after the checks. Removal, installation and handover of a removed unit are agreed in advance.
Your vehicle or a removed transmission
